"Being new to the
area, we were told that we should become involved in the
Chamber of Commerce. We actually took this advice and we are
pleased that we did. The programs offered by the Chamber have
been helpful and enlightening to us.
Seminars: For the individuals in our business family that are
new to business, the seminars offered by the Chamber were
enlightening and affirming. To borrow a radio phrase; it gave
shy people the will to do what must be done.
Chamber Leads Group I: Much to our amazement, there were no
embroiderers in this leads group. What a way to move to the
front of the line. This is an excellent opportunity to become
much more closely aligned with other businesses. We have
received leads and given leads at the meeting and in our
store.
We are very pleased to be a part of the Greensboro Chamber of
Commerce. We also want to thank you for your personal support
and motivation to our team. Keep up the good work for the
business community of this area."

“During the first
week of my membership I attended three or four Chamber events
and each one brought me new customers! We continuously have
customers calling and stopping by our printing business that I
have met through the Greensboro Chamber! I try not to miss any
events because I know they mean more sales and more knowledge
about the growth of Greensboro!"

“I can honestly say that my
involvement in Leadership Greensboro has been one of the most
rewarding experiences of my professional life. The
experience exceeded my expectations and provided me the fuel
and the vehicle to launch my greater participation in the
community. I have recommended the program to several of
my colleagues, and our organization now considers it a "must
do" for anyone who strives to be an active member of our
community."

“I was fortunate to be a member
of the first graduating class of Other Voices in 1994, and I
loved watching the program grow and become even more effective
over the past decade. I have been involved with both the
steering committee and the program committee since my
graduation, and continue to learn new things about myself
through my friends who bring their different life experiences
to the Other Voices circle. The importance of the honest
dialogue simply cannot be overemphasized! Other voices is not
just a "diversity program". It is the beginning of a
journey that will last a lifetime. I am so thankful that the
Greensboro Chamber of Commerce offers this valuable leadership
training program to our community."

"The Leadership Greensboro Seniors program has given me a new
perspective of the city of Greensboro. Having lived here for
35 years, I originally thought that I didn't need this
opportunity. I found out differently when I started seeing new
facilities and hearing first-hand from the leaders who are
making things happen. The Chamber of Commerce is to be
commended for offering "seniors" a chance to meet those who
are changing the face of the city and area. I like being on
the "cutting edge" of Greensboro."

"I
joined the Chamber and Leads Group II very soon after I
started in the promotional products business over six years
ago. Continued participation in both has been instrumental in
developing my business. Today, two of my most important
customers are the result of leads I received from Group II."
